Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Food & Beverage to join our luxury resort in the tropical paradise of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our food and beverage operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maximising revenue and profitability.
- Develop and implement innovative food and beverage concepts across multiple outlets, including restaurants, bars, and banquet facilities
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a large team of food and beverage professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create exciting menus and culinary experiences that reflect local flavours and international trends
- Analyse financial performance, manage budgets, and implement strategies to optimise revenue and control costs
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain the highest standards of quality and hygiene
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts to ensure the best quality products at competitive prices
- Drive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and swift resolution of any issues
- Implement and monitor brand standards across all food and beverage outlets
- Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to develop effective promotional strategies and events
- Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities, continuously seeking opportunities for innovation and improvement
- Oversee the beverage programme, including wine list curation and staff training
- Manage inventory levels and implement effective cost control measures
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior Food & Beverage leadership role within a luxury hotel or resort setting
- Demonstrated success in revenue management and profit optimisation within the F&B sector
- Strong background in menu development, pricing strategies, and food cost control
- Excellent knowledge of wines, spirits, and current beverage trends
- Proficiency in using restaurant management software and Microsoft Office applications
- University degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop large teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders at all levels
- Strategic planning and budgeting expertise
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other Asian languages is advantageous
- Willingness to relocate to Phu Quoc and adapt to island living
