Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional customer service and crafting delightful coffee experiences for our guests. This position requires a passion for coffee, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality beverages in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders accurately, and making personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
  3. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment with precision and efficiency.
  4. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station, including the brewing area, equipment, and service areas, in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  5. Monitor and replenish coffee supplies, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients, to ensure uninterrupted service.
  6. Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to coordinate food and beverage orders and deliver a seamless dining experience to guests.
  7. Uphold company policies and procedures, including cash handling, inventory management, and sanitation standards.
  8. Stay informed about coffee trends, brewing techniques, and product knowledge to enhance the guest experience and contribute to menu development.
  9. Assist with special events, promotions, and other hotel activities as needed.
  10. Maintain a positive attitude, work cooperatively with colleagues, and contribute to a professional and welcoming atmosphere.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a barista in a hotel, restaurant, café, or similar setting is preferred.
  • Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee equipment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and interact courteously with guests and team members.
  • Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, beverage recipes, and quality standards.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Food handler's certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in hospitality or food service is a plus.
