Job Description

As a Hostess at DELANO Dubai, you are the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for a refined yet relaxed dining experience. You will warmly welcome guests, manage reservations and seating, and ensure a seamless flow of arrivals while delivering an intuitive and elevated guest journey aligned with the DELANO brand.

  • Guest Welcome & First Impression: Deliver a warm, polished welcome to all guests, creating an immediate sense of arrival and comfort
  • Reservations Management: Accurately manage bookings, ensuring guest preferences, special requests, and notes are captured and communicated effectively
  • Seating Coordination: Organise table allocations to ensure smooth service flow, balanced sections, and optimal guest experience
  • Guest Flow Management: Monitor arrivals, wait times, and table turnover to maintain a seamless and well-paced restaurant operation
  • Guest Engagement: Engage with guests during wait times in a warm, professional, and attentive manner, enhancing their overall arrival experience
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with front-of-house and management teams to ensure clear communication and operational alignment
  • Walk-ins & Waiting List: Manage walk-in guests and waiting lists efficiently, ensuring fairness, clarity, and a positive guest journey
  • Venue Knowledge: Maintain strong awareness of restaurant layout, seating plans, and daily operations to support guest needs confidently
  • Reception Standards: Ensure the host stand and entrance area are always immaculate and reflective of DELANO’s luxury lifestyle aesthetic
  • Guest Experience Ownership: Anticipate guest needs and resolve minor issues discreetly, ensuring a smooth and memorable first impression

Qualifications

  • Luxury Experience: Proven experience in luxury hospitality (luxury hotel, high-end restaurant, or beach club), delivering refined and discreet service
  • Guest Engagement Excellence: Exceptional communication skills with a warm, polished, and natural guest approach
  • Operational Knowledge: Strong understanding of reservations systems, seating management, and restaurant operations
  • Service Excellence: Calm, composed, and guest-focused approach in a fast-paced environment
  • Team Collaboration: Strong ability to coordinate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen teams to ensure smooth communication, efficient service flow, and a cohesive guest experience
  • Educational Background: A relevant qualification such as a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management (or equivalent experience) is preferred, reflecting a commitment to professional standards
