We are currently in search of a Creative Food & Beverage Director to manage all aspects of the Food & Beverage operations at Mondrian Mexico City Condesa. The main responsibility of the Creative Director of Food & Beverage Entertainment is to deliver a distinct musical and entertainment experience to our guests.

This includes understanding and expressing the essence of the Hotel's spaces through a multi-layered entertainment experience. From curating the music in the different venues (including hiring local, national or international talent, designing playlists in public areas, and creating daytime / nightlife), and programming activations. The tone of voice of the Hotel must be expressed through the sound and atmosphere of the different consumption centers of the hotel and be culturally relevant to the brand.

You will also be asked to communicate, coordinate and work well with other team members, leaders and guests. Above all, we want you to live the brand, as you will play a key role in creating a memorable guest experience.

 

DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS
- Maintaining and overseeing the experience in all public spaces is essential to the success of the brand.
- Must have experience in bringing concept ideas to real life. Understanding of the process required to execute a creative vision and control of practical considerations (costs, timelines) are critical to success in this position.
- You must be willing and able to develop the creative vision, but you must also be able to effectively communicate and execute your ideas and vision, without help or a lot of administrative support.

- You must have a holistic view of the experience and how Mondrian Mexico City Condesa wants our guests to feel in our spaces. We are a solutions-oriented culture. We want people who identify problems and then do something about them, providing recommendations and ultimately solving the problem at hand.
- The Director of Entertainment must be an effective communicator, provide clear direction and have sufficient presence and confidence to represent and champion brands.
- This position leads entertainment across the property and the ideal candidate will leverage their resources and connections to achieve successful partnerships and activations.
- Responsible for overseeing all entertainment programming, talent bookings at Mondrian Mexico City Condesa and entertainment partnerships in all outbound spaces including Aviv, Water, Tala and the Lobby.
- Oversees the hiring and maintenance of all DJ equipment for in-house and guest DJ programming.
- Works with property representatives to ensure talent is booked in a timely manner and marketed/promoted in sufficient time to enhance the guest experience and drive awareness and revenue.

- Communicates bookings efficiently and effectively to all key stakeholders, including team members on property, online platforms, as well as in-person meetings and to department heads.
- Book and discover promising music and cultural performances (e.g. DJs, bands, artists, performers, speakers, promoters and emerging brands).
- Create, build and maintain a buzz on property that brings together fashion, music and entertainment.
- Promote the hotel and brand through networking and partnerships with like-minded brands and organizations that help us stay relevant in the world of music, fashion and entertainment.
- Manage partner relationships to ensure all brands are aligned and programming complements each dining establishment.
- Works closely with hotel and corporate marketing, sales and F&B teams to elevate our relevance in the music, fashion and entertainment world.
- Coordinates with Marketing, PR and Digital departments. Publicity and promotion of upcoming activations.
- Ensure weekly and monthly synergies with all property representatives to ensure all programming is aligned.
- Provide quarterly reporting on entertainment operations.
- Develop a roadmap to budget profit and loss for all activations.

- Must possess and maintain a high level of knowledge in music, entertainment and fashion, and keep abreast of the latest trends.
- Maintain and oversee the atmosphere and ambiance in all public spaces.
- Provide our guests with a complete and differentiated experience.
- Develop a relevant and up-to-date music platform.
- Ensure that all appropriate licenses are in place for music content played in the hotel.
- Define the guest experience in the various dining and guest areas using selected music selections.
- Create and execute packages, promotions, programs and events that increase traffic to our restaurants, book rooms in our hotel, and build advertising opportunities.
- Oversees all audio visual initiatives for lighting, music, sound and other environmental details to create a musically and culturally relevant experience.
- Collaborates with the IT department to ensure proper integration between IT and AV networks.
- Manages each project through completion, from initial consulting/design phase to final installation.
- Manages the external AV team and installation team.
- Responsible for maintaining cultural relevance and brand sound in the hotel.

- Experience in launching new brands and experiences is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience as an Entertainment Director or similar role in the hospitality, nightlife or entertainment industry.
- Deep knowledge of event activation, promotion, music and ambiance creation.
- Strong network and history of working with world-class DJs, agents and entertainment talent.
- Demonstrated success in activating independent day and nightlife venues.
- Excellent collaboration skills with a track record of working effectively with marketing and promotional teams.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to innovate and elevate entertainment experiences.
