Rixos Qetaifan Island North will comprise a 345-key hotel, along with a souq encompassing 11,000sqm of leasing space, a beach club, a theme park, and a waterpark. The resort will boast panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Rixos plans to provide a platform for showcasing Qatar as a tourism destination. One of the country’s biggest draws will be Qetaifan Island North’s Waterpark attraction. The Rig 1938 is the world’s highest tower of its kind, reaching 82 metres.

Job Description

Bell Captain

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the bell staff, including attendants and drivers.
  • Provide guidance, training, and motivation to ensure the team consistently delivers exceptional guest service.
  • Greet guests as they arrive and depart from the hotel with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
  • Assist guests with luggage, ensuring it is handled with care and delivered to their rooms promptly.
  • Provide information and assistance to guests, such as directions, transportation options, and recommendations for local attractions and services.
  • Oversee the management of transportation services, such as arranging taxis, airport shuttles, or valet parking, and coordinating guest transportation needs.
  • Ensure that guest belongings are handled with care and that proper procedures are followed for tagging and retrieval.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Front Office and other hotel departments to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally.


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in hospitality or related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a bell captain or bell staff role in a luxury hotel environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using hotel management systems and communication equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy luggage.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • A professional appearance and demeanour at all times.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
