Job Description

As a Bar Supervisor and ambassador of the Mama brand, while representing the Company, you are expected to embody the Mama Spirit. This also includes being mindful of these characteristics while representing Mama Shelter at any time. Objective: The Bar Supervisor is a person who supervises the staff and Bar operations. They are able to maintain order and control in the workplace, while also ensuring the safety of all employees and customers. He is responsible to ensure the Bar operation and quality service in the daily running of the restaurant operations. This includes lead and follow up the Team to complete the daily duties, supervision and maintenance high standard of quality service, creation of the cocktail list, relevant training for the team, opening and closing duties and general supervision of the team. A restaurant supervisor is familiar with all aspects of running a business, including customer service skills, inventory management skills and customer relations skills. To keep things running smoothly, they require good relationship-building abilities. 

Qualifications

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Check and ensure Bar set up is completed for services and events daily, including HACCP policies.
  • Ensures smooth service to all guests visiting Bar & Restaurant
  • Maintain uniform standards and ensuring all employees always follow company policies and procedures.
  • Consistently maintain the Mama spirit and inspire the same amongst your colleagues!
  • Responsible for completion of opening / closing checklists across the department through organizing team members.
  • Developing and implementing training programs for new hires and existing Team member
  • Ensure daily shift plan are aligned in reflection to our operation and occupancy hotel.
  • Ensuring drinks served are of high quality and service is consistent (sequences of service)
  • Ensuring all equipment is properly functioning throughout the day.
  • Perfect knowledge of all Mama promotion & events and ensure all the team are updated and aware.
  • Monitor and control bar beverage stocks level and ensure efficient use of products.
  • Ensure standardization and consistent beverage preparation, presentation, and quality.
  • Contribute to creation and realization of signature cocktails menu.
  • Contribute to bar trainings when required (cocktails masterclass, coffee masterclass, etc)
  • Contribute and hold daily bar briefings, tastings and organize monthly meeting with Bar staff.
  • Lead and follow up the team to bring results in terms of quality service, up selling & cross selling, positive feedback.
  • Responsible for on-boarding & training new Bar team members
  • Self-control, empathic communication, and time management of duties by priority
  • Ensuring Guest experience satisfaction, customer care and handling any complaints.
  • Conduct AM / PM shifts when required, including as opening / closing supervisor.
  • Conduct monthly beverage inventory.
  • Keep detailed records of daily revenue and communicate email AM/PM daily report to Ass. Manager and F&B Manager
  • Knowledge skills of Oracle Micros and POS payment.
