Job Description
-Curate playlists and mix tracks to maintain a seamless flow of music that suits the audience and event mood, using techniques like beat-matching, scratching, and EQing
-Read the crowd, take song requests, make announcements, and interact with guests to keep energy levels high
-Set up, operate, and maintain sound equipment, including turntables, mixers, speakers, and DJ software, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
-Collaborate with event planners or venue managers to align music with the event theme, schedule, and client preferences.
-For radio DJs, responsibilities may include conducting interviews, taking listener calls, and presenting commercials or sponsored content
Qualifications
-Strong knowledge of music genres, trends, and audience preferences.
-Technical proficiency with DJ equipment and software.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage audiences effectively.
-Ability to read the crowd and adapt music selection in real-time.
