Financial Controller (12-month FTC)

Company Description
We are looking for a Financial Controller to join the Finance team at Ennismore. Reporting to the Chief Business Officer and a dotted line into the Group Chief Financial Officer, this role will be the lead of the core UK Finance function, ensuring robust financial control, compliance and statutory reporting for the UK companies. Working alongside the Group FP&A function, this role focusses on governance, risk management and a seamless month end process.
This role is to start on 25th September 2025.
What you’ll do…
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping, closing and reporting for the Lifestyle UK entities, in line with Group standards, corporate guidelines and calendar.
- Lead, motivate and develop the UK Accounting team, consisting of Financial Accountant, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Treasury. (4 direct reports and a total team of 10).
- Supervise all key accounting processes: Month End, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable & Treasury.
- Ensure timely local regulatory filings (financial accounts, tax, companies house and ONS in particular).
- Responsible for managing the annual Audit of the UK entities in line with Group and local requirements, as well as being the key point of contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with Accor’s internal control framework. Develop and implement remediation plans to address any potential gaps.
- Management of all aspects of Finance for two trading restaurants in London
- Working with the Group FP&A team to support the reporting and forecasting process.
What we’re looking for…
- Qualified Accountant with at least 5 years PQE
- Experience of running a finance function and all associated responsibilities
- Proven track record of managing audits, financial control, compliance and audit
- Experience working across both IFRS and FRS 102 essential
- Experience of working for a large group is preferred but not essential
- Confident people manager and excellent communicator with a strong attention to detail
