The Hoxton is continuing its expansion in Europe as we get set to open in another new country and city. Our first Hoxton in Austria will be in the beautiful City of Music, Vienna. Known for its wonderful quality of life we can’t wait to explore every corner of our newest neighbourhood but first we need a team to help us bring the Hox to the market. We are now looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our team and play a crucial role in successfully launching in this new destination.

You will not go hungry at The Hoxton in Vienna! The hotel will feature 196 bedrooms of varying sizes, a large ground floor restaurant, bar, lobby and terrace, an incredible rooftop restaurant, bar and swimming pool, a basement bar and event spaces including a large auditorium. 

Reporting to our Front Office Manager, you will be responsible to provide brilliant and genuinely helpful customer service for every guest staying in The Hoxton, Vienna.

  • A monthly gross wage is offered for this position in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement for the hotel and catering industry. Depending on your professional qualifications and experience the Company reserves the right to offer above this.

What you'll do...

  • You're the first face our guests see, and you have your own way of treating them as individuals, making them feel welcome and their stay special - the Hox way.
  • Deal with the coming and going of guests, making sure all bills are correct and contain no surprises.
  • Work with all our teams to make sure we're always busy, and help our Front Office Manager with any overbooking levels.
  • Answer phones, sort out requests, give recommendations to the best show to see and the latest pop-up restaurant to try in the area - you're the one-stop-shop for our guests to turn to.

What we're looking for...

  • It's all about attitude forus, someone who enjoys being helpful to others, that person who makes you feel confident they can answer any question and who you'd want to stop and chat to.
  • Previous hotel (or similar) experience is great, but it's not a must-have for us - if you're eager to learn we can teach you what you need to know.
  • If you’re familiar with Opera or similar front desk operating system that would be a big advantage.
  • Passion for hospitality – you’re all about creating memorable experiences for others, be they guests or colleagues.
  • You’re looking for a place where you can be you, no clones in suits here.
  • You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
  • You’re not precious; we leave our egos at the door and help get things done.
