Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Kitchen and Laundry Technician to join our team in Rixos Al Mairid at Ras Al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of our kitchen and laundry facilities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to hygiene standards.
- Operate, clean, and maintain kitchen and laundry equipment, including dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and cooking appliances
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing tasks in kitchen and laundry areas, following established procedures and schedules
- Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages to the appropriate supervisor
- Assist in the proper storage and organization of kitchen utensils, linens, and other supplies
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs
- Collaborate with kitchen and housekeeping staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
- Adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and guidelines
- Assist in training new team members on equipment operation and cleaning procedures
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, equipment maintenance, and inventory
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating various kitchen and laundry equipment
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and sanitizing procedures
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills for kitchen and laundry equipment
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that involve standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Food safety certification preferred
- Previous experience in kitchen or laundry operations, particularly in a hospitality or healthcare setting, is a plus
- Familiarity with UAE health and safety regulations is beneficial
