Job Description

The Assistant Quality & Sustainability Manager plays a key supporting role in implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving quality and sustainability systems across the resort. Reporting directly to the Quality & Sustainability Manager, this position assists in driving compliance with internal standards, Vietnamese regulations, and international certifications, while supporting sustainability initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and environmental responsibility.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, hands-on operational awareness, and a passion for quality excellence and sustainable hospitality practices.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management Support

  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and monitoring of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Environmental Management Systems (EMS), including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Support internal audits, inspections, and compliance checks; help document findings and follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Assist in analyzing operational data, guest feedback, and performance indicators to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies under the guidance of the Manager

Sustainability & Environmental Initiatives

  • Assist in executing sustainability programs related to waste management, energy efficiency, water conservation, and resource optimization
  • Support monitoring of environmental performance metrics and sustainability KPIs
  • Help ensure daily operational practices align with sustainability goals and environmental regulations
  • Participate in supplier and vendor sustainability assessments when required

Training & Communication

  • Support the development and delivery of training programs on quality standards, sustainability practices, and compliance requirements
  • Assist in raising awareness among employees about quality, environmental responsibility, and continuous improvement culture
  • Prepare draft reports, dashboards, and presentations on quality and sustainability performance for management review

Compliance & Coordination

  • Support coordination with external auditors, consultants, and regulatory bodies as directed by the Manager
  • Assist in maintaining proper documentation, records, and certification requirements
  • Help identify potential quality or environmental risks and escalate issues proactively

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in quality management, sustainability, or a related field (hospitality, operations, or manufacturing preferred)
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or similar management systems
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, PDCA, etc.)
  • Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and track KPIs
  • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability best practices
  • Experience supporting audits and corrective action processes
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Good communication skills in English (written and verbal); Vietnamese is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with ERP or quality systems is a plus

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to sustainability reporting or environmental performance tracking
  • ISO internal auditor or foundation-level certifications
  • Experience in luxury hospitality or international hotel brands
  • Knowledge of Vietnamese environmental compliance frameworks
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced environment
