Job Description

We are looking for a Butcher (DCDP) to join our culinary team and ensure that every cut of meat served embodies quality, care, and the authenticity of our retreat. This role is essential in supporting immersive dining experiences and maintaining the high standards of our food offerings.

Meat Preparation & Culinary Support

  • Prepare, cut, and portion meat with precision, consistency, and attention to quality.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure ingredients are ready and available for daily service.

  • Support the creation of menu items by preparing meats according to recipes, guest preferences, and dietary requirements.

  • Monitor inventory and communicate needs or shortages to the kitchen supervisor efficiently.

Hygiene, Safety & Standards

  • Follow strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards at all times.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe workstations, tools, and equipment.

  • Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products to maintain freshness and quality.

  • Report any equipment issues, hazards, or safety concerns promptly to supervisors.

Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Work closely with chefs, kitchen staff, and service teams to maintain smooth operations.

  • Assist in organizing and prepping work areas to ensure efficiency during service.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and quality.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a butcher or in meat preparation within hotels, resorts, or restaurants preferred.

  • Knowledge of meat cuts, processing techniques, and hygiene standards.

  • Friendly, approachable, and team-focused attitude.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.

  • Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
