Job Description
Reporting to Director of Finance, you will be a highly organised Senior Purchasing Officer with a drive for overseeing all procurement activities, ensuring cost-effective and timely acquisition of goods for our organisation.
Duties include but are not limited to;
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals and budget constraints
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure favorable terms to optimize cost savings
- Analyse pricing data and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions
- Oversee the entire procurement process, from requisition to delivery, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams with the Hotel to understand and fulfill departmental needs efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and inventory levels
- Implement and manage inventory control systems to optimize stock levels and minimize waste
- Generate comprehensive reports on procurement activities, expenditures, and supplier performance
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in procurement and supply chain management
Qualifications
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain management
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
- Experience with procurement software and inventory management systems (Purchase Plus preferred)
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
