Job Description

The Sales Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies and client relationship management. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role involves both proactive and reactive sales efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones, ensuring the resort's continued success and market presence. The Sales Executive will promote the hotel's unique luxury offerings, create personalised experiences for guests, and uphold the brand's reputation for sophistication and excellence. 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Actively promote Mondrian Gold Coast's luxury accommodations, F&B offerings, and services to corporate clients, travel agencies, event planners, and other potential customers. 

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets, focusing on group bookings and corporate accounts. 

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to maximize repeat business and referrals. 

  • Prepare and present compelling sales proposals, presentations, and contracts tailored to the specific needs and preferences of prospective clients. 

  • Develop and own a sales strategy to achieve targets. 

  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent the property.  

  • Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities. 

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, client interactions, and market research using CRM software. 

  • Provide regular sales reports, forecasts, and insights to the management team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities for growth. 

  • Assist Sales Managers with related duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Sales. 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management within luxury resorts/hotels or related industry. 

  • Strong understanding of sales strategies and techniques, with a track record of achieving revenue targets. 

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 

  • Experience in Opera PMS and Sales systems such as ANAIS, Cvent, and Delphi is highly desirable.  

  • Must have valid Australian Working Rights.
