We are looking for an experienced Director of Nightlife to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Director of Food & Beverage, the Director of Nightlife Operations is responsible for managing all nightlife venues for the SLS Barcelona, ensuring quality of service and guest satisfaction is always the top priority.

Job Description

What you'll do...

  • Oversee and direct the day-to-day operations of all nightlife venues.
  • Develop and implement strategy for the nightlife venues to achieve financial goals, team member and guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure operational systems and procedures are effective, efficient and in place for the operation of the venues.
  • Support the delivery of outstanding customer service while ensuring that all financial and local requirements are met.
  • Manages and controls department expenditure, staying within agreed budgets and being cognizant of P/L for venues.
  • Create relationships with the local community, influencers and tastemakers.
  • Partner with key departments such as Marketing, Security, VIP Services, and Promotions teams to ensure all events and initiatives are executed properly.
  • Budget development and ongoing budget management.
  • Ensure guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.


What we're looking for...

  • Someone with a passion and knowledge of nightlife in Barcelona, with their finger on the pulse of the city and a network to come with.
  • Minimum of five (5+) years of luxury Restaurant/Nightclub Management experience
  • Previous experience with pre-opening of a Restaurant/Nightclub is preferred
  • Someone who understands, celebrates and embraces the SLS brand values
  • Knowledge of Marketing, Social Media, VIP, Hosting, Promotions required
  • Strong knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures in a restaurant/nightclub is required
  • Proven team leader with a high level of energy and motivation, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them.
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines and have a high-level attention to detail
  • You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluent in Spanish and English.
