Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As an Income Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by conducting thorough audits and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
- Balance and audit all Front Office postings and settlements
- Verify and monitor all hotel reports and night audit reports
- Reconcile credit card commissions and food and beverage point of sale systems
- Monitor front office rebates and review F&B voids for proper authorization
- Prepare daily operational packages for management review
- Assist with month-end closing and analysis of bank accounts
- Prepare month-end income journal entries according to company policies
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the Audit Supervisor or Accountant
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Assist in conducting surprise float counts and other accounting tasks as required
- Stay updated on local financial regulations and standards in Dubai, UAE
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in income auditing or a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry
- Proficiency in financial management software, including Sun System, Opera, Micros, and Vision
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, auditing procedures, and financial reporting standards
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various departments and stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in financial practices
- Knowledge of local financial regulations and standards in Dubai, UAE
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Adaptability to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed
