Job Description
Guest Experience & Front Desk Operations
• Greet and welcome guests warmly with professionalism and charm.
• Manage the waitlist and seating chart to optimize guest flow and reduce wait times.
• Escort guests to their tables and present menus with grace and attention to detail.
• Ensure a seamless and pleasant arrival and departure experience for all guests.
Reservation & Table Management
• Handle all reservations efficiently using the reservation system.
• Maintain accurate records of guest preferences, VIPs, special requests, and repeat diners.
• Coordinate seating assignments with the service team to ensure even distribution and optimal
section performance.
• Monitor dining room activity to ensure a smooth guest turnover and flow.
Team Leadership & Training
• Supervise, train, and support the hostess team in delivering consistent service standards.
• Schedule hostess shifts and ensure appropriate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
• Set daily goals and motivate the team to maintain a guest-first approach at all times.
Communication & Coordination
• Act as the liaison between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
• Keep service staff and management updated on large parties, special guests, and any potential
service challenges.
• Manage walk-ins, special events, or private dining reservations professionally.
Appearance & Ambassadorship
• Maintain immaculate grooming and professional appearance as a brand ambassador.
• Be knowledgeable about the restaurant concept, menu, special promotions, and any ongoing
events.
• Handle guest concerns or feedback graciously and escalate when necessary.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience
- Vocational School or higher
- Min. 2-3 years of experience or in a high volume or upscale dining environment
- Good command of English is required; Additional language is an asset
- Ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment
- Able to develop relationships with the property teams.
- Capacity to read situation, understand environments and respond accordingly
Competencies
- Familiar with Outlook and Micros
- Understand Restaurant Reservation System
- Basic knowledge of Food Safety and Hygiene practice
