Job Description

Rixos Phu Quoc is looking for a Telecommunication Agent to join our Front Office team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys delivering exceptional guest service and thrives in a fast-paced luxury hospitality environment.

As the first point of contact for many of our guests, you will ensure every call is handled professionally, efficiently, and with the warmth and attention that define the Rixos guest experience. 

The Telecommunication Agent is responsible for managing internal and external calls through the hotel switchboard, assisting guests with requests, and coordinating communication between hotel departments.

You will play a key role in ensuring guests receive prompt assistance and that communication flows smoothly throughout the hotel.

Guest Communication

  • Answer all internal and external telephone calls in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Ensure all calls are handled according to hotel service standards.
  • Provide accurate information about hotel services, facilities, and local attractions.
  • Greet guests by name whenever possible to personalize the experience.

Guest Support

  • Assist guests with requests, queries, and information promptly and courteously.
  • Take and deliver guest messages accurately.
  • Manage and perform guest wake-up calls according to hotel procedures.

Operational Coordination

  • Maintain effective communication with all hotel departments to ensure seamless guest service.
  • Ensure calls are transferred efficiently to the correct departments or team members.
  • Stay informed of daily hotel activities, VIP guests, and operational updates.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel environment
  • Hospitality qualification or university degree preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service mindset
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in busy situations
  • Good knowledge of English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hotel systems

Additional Information

Prior experience working with Opera or a related system
