Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and professional Speciality Waiter/ess to join our esteemed restaurant team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Speciality Waiter/ess, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests whilst leading and mentoring our service team.

  • Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the restaurant's dining area
  • Lead, train, and motivate the waiting staff to maintain high service standards
  • Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
  • Manage reservations and handle special requests or dietary requirements
  • Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and wine recommendations
  • Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
  • Assist in inventory management and stock control
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
  • Maintain a clean and organised dining area at all times

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role within food service
  • Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management skills
  • Proficiency in restaurant management software
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Hospitality management degree or relevant certification (preferred)
  • Valid food safety certification
  • In-depth knowledge of food and beverage pairing
  • Thorough understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards
  • Familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine and culture (preferred)
  • Willingness to work in Phu Quoc, Vietnam
