Job Description

What you’ll do

We are looking for a Purchasing Agent to join the pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. Under the guidance of the Purchasing Manager, you’ll be responsible for the storage, distribution, maintenance and accounting of food and beverage, general supplies and maintaining the cleanliness of the storage area according to standards.

  • Check receiving and storage procedures daily to ensure they are being followed.
  • Verify that products are received, issued, documented, stored and ordered according to company guidelines.
  • Coordinate with other departments on warehouse operational matters when necessary.
  • Issue stock/supplies to staff submitting duly approved requisition forms as per standard operating procedure (SOP).
  • Keep application forms on file, ensuring they are properly completed and acknowledged by the requesting party.
  • Ensure that all items stored in freezers are properly packed in plastic bags and labeled with appropriate labels.
  • Responsible to receive, document, store and issue all goods and materials ordered.   
  • Issue received goods to proper departments.
  • Keep shipping and receiving log up to date.
  • Take and maintain Inventory of storeroom product.

Qualifications

What we are looking for...

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration or related field.
  • +2 years of experience in a hotel’s accounting department.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English.
  • You take ownership of important issues, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
  • You learn quickly and adapt to SLS’s unique culture.
  • You are humble and open to ideas. We leave our ego at the door and help get things done.
  • You’re up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
