Job Description
We are seeking a visionary and detail-oriented Director of Procurement to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies to optimize costs and ensure a reliable supply chain for all hotel operations.
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across all hotel departments
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and monitoring performance to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting to execution and renewal, ensuring compliance with hotel policies and legal requirements
- Manage the procurement process for major capital projects, including renovations, equipment upgrades, and new facility construction
- Lead the development of RFQ/tender processes for various goods and services, ensuring fair and competitive procurement practices
- Collaborate with departments to optimize inventory levels, reduce waste, and improve cost control
- Manage and develop a high-performing procurement team, providing guidance, training, and support
- Monitor and analyze procurement expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, mitigating risks and safeguarding the hotel's interests
- Promote sustainable procurement practices, support local suppliers, and prioritize ethical sourcing initiatives
- Manage and optimize e-procurement systems, ensuring efficient workflows and data accuracy
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the hotel industry
- Proven experience in managing and leading a procurement team
- Strong knowledge of both Food & Non-Food categories and suppliers
- Excellent negotiation skills and in-depth understanding of procurement policies and best practices
- Proficiency in e-procurement systems and supply chain management software
- Strong financial acumen and budgeting skills
- Experience in sustainable procurement practices and ethical sourcing initiatives
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance in procurement
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
