We are looking for a Director of Sales to lead Our Habitas Sales team in Mexico & Chile.

Our Habitas LATAM portfolio currently consists of Our Habitas Tulum, Bacalar, San Miguel de Allende in Mexico and Atacama in Chile.  Reporting to our Global Director of Sales for Our Habitas, you’ll be responsible for leading a small team of sellers, ensuring strategies are in place to drive revenue across all relevant sales market segments including consortia, leisure and MICE as well as having a personal revenue goal and account base to manage.

We are looking for a strong seller who is strategic in their approach and who has some experience in leading a small team.

Job Description

What you’ll do…

  • Together with the Revenue team, develop and implement strategic plans to source, drive and grow revenue across all relevant segments, constantly monitoring results and adjusting strategies and activities to make sure objectives and targets are met
  • Manage and lead a small team from recruitment and induction through to team development; encouraging a highly proactive and high performing environment that ultimately allows the team to deliver on objectives
  • Provide local market knowledge that helps us stay ahead of the competition
  • Collaborate with key teams (e.g., Hotel Operations, Brand, Revenue, Digital, Graphics & PR) ensuring key information and insights are shared and strong relationships are built to ensure everyone is effectively working together to drive top line revenue and deliver exceptional guest experiences
  • Manage a portfolio of accounts, taking the lead on rate negotiations and account management activities whilst ensuring we maximize our market share

Qualifications

What we’re looking for…

  • 5+ years’ experience in a mid to senior sales role within the Mexican market
  • An all-rounder – someone with leisure, MICE and social sales experience
  • Passionate about hotel sales and goal driven
  • You’re a strong team leader, a natural at managing and inspiring others in a way that gets the best out of them
  • You combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
  • You are an excellent relationship builder, confident in working with other teams and leaders; you’re passionate about what we can achieve together
  • You’re looking for a place where you can be you: no clones in suits for us
  • You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get things done
  • Fluent in both verbal and written English & Spanish.
