Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to join Mondrian Gold Coast’s pre-opening team to debut one of the most exciting and disruptive luxury lifestyle brands in Australia.  

The Marketing Manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing, Hotel commercial team and global brand marketing teams to ideate, create and execute brand marketing, media relations, digital and social campaigns that gains cut-through and drives topline revenue.  The position will be required to manage the hotel, F&B and spa venues social media channels, content strategy and online presence inclusive of working with nominated agencies and analytical reporting.  

HOW YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE (JOB RESPONSIBILITIES):  

  • Ensure that Mondrian Gold Coast brand image, marketing, social and photography guidelines are upheld reviewing all in-house and external facing materials as directed by the Director of Marketing.   

  • Manage Mondrian Gold Coast, F&B and spa venues all social media channels (Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn) both via a social media agency and directly.   

  • Drive forward the implementation of brand and tactical marketing activities for F&B, spa, hotel programming, leisure activations and unique venues. 

  • Support the implementation of the hotel, F&B and spa media relations strategies.   

  • Coordinate internal and external PR activities.    

  • Executes and collaborates with hotel, F&B and spa teams to coordinate photoshoots, releases, and other materials on file for publicity.    

  • Work with the Director of Marketing to implement the hotel’s digital strategy to increase web contribution for the hotel, F&B and spa reservations via the nominated booking platform.   

  • Adept at using Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn and adhering to Ennismore’s social media policies, connectivity and social media channel and analytics tool.    

  • Solid understanding of social paid media strategies and execution. 

Qualifications

  • Minimum four (4) year’s hands-on experience in a similar marketing, communications and digital role with proven experience working with luxury and lifestyle brands across a range of industries including but not limited to fashion, hotels, F&B or strategic marketing communications agency.    

  • A passion for social media, coupled with a deep knowledge of analytics, the dynamics of social platforms, strategies for public relations, and outstanding communication abilities.  

  • Experience working within an integrated cross-function team environment.   

  • Exposure to the implementation of integrated marketing communications campaigns across a variety of industries.    

  • Demonstrable experience working with influencers, KOLs, local and national media. 

  • Ability to understand and translate brand direction and purpose into integrated marketing ideas.     

  • Passionate about brand and innovative ideas, however weird or wacky.   

  • You’re a cultural connoisseur and socially connected with a little black book of influencers, KOLs and media contacts.    

  • Loves to think strategically and logically but also wants to challenge the status quo.   

  • Driven commercial acumen for understanding the numbers and seeking solutions to complex situations.   

  • Ability to collaborate across functions with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders to achieve the collective goal and best outcomes for the business.    

  • Must have valid Australian Working Rights.
