Job Description

We are seeking a friendly and professional Lobby Hostess to join our team at a prestigious hotel in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they arrive.

• Greet and welcome guests in a courteous and professional manner
• Provide information about hotel services, local attractions, and respond to guest enquiries
• Assist with check-in and check-out procedures as needed
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure guest requests are fulfilled promptly
• Maintain the lobby area, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times
• Handle guest complaints and concerns with empathy and efficiency
• Assist with luggage and direct guests to their rooms when required
• Manage reservation enquiries and provide support to the front desk team
• Ensure all safety and security procedures are followed
• Participate in special events or promotions hosted in the lobby area

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills with fluency in English; additional languages are highly desirable
• Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality or tourism is advantageous
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel management systems
• Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of Vietnamese culture and customs is beneficial
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Smart and professional appearance
• Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting when necessary
