Join our culinary team as a Demi Chef de Partie - Pastry in the vibrant city of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to assist in creating exquisite pastries and desserts that delight our guests and showcase the best of international culinary trends.

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing a wide range of high-quality pastries, desserts, and baked goods
  • Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and quality standards
  • Collaborate with the pastry team to develop new and innovative dessert concepts
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of ingredients and finished products
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Assist in inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff members
  • Participate in menu planning and development meetings
  • Adapt recipes to accommodate various dietary restrictions and allergies
  • Contribute to the overall success of the pastry department by maintaining high standards of quality and presentation

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or in a similar role within a professional kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of pastry preparation techniques, baking methods, and dessert presentation
  • Proficiency in using various pastry equipment and tools
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
  • Understanding of various dietary restrictions and food allergies
  • Familiarity with international pastry trends and techniques
  • Culinary degree or diploma with a focus on pastry arts is preferred
  • Current food safety certification
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of additional languages is a plus
  • Adaptability to work in a multicultural environment, typical of Dubai's hospitality industry
