Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative IT Supervisor to join our dynamic team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, managing technical projects, and ensuring the efficiency and security of our IT infrastructure.

  • Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to optimise system performance and security
  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, and other IT infrastructure
  • Manage IT projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget
  • Analyse and resolve complex IT issues, providing technical support to end-users when necessary
  • Collaborate with other departments to align IT strategies with organisational goals
  • Monitor and report on IT system performance, security, and user satisfaction
  • Implement and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation within the organisation
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for IT services and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IT regulations and standards

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in IT management, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • In-depth understanding of IT operations, infrastructure, and management systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented and analytical approach
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report generation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with project management methodologies and IT service management frameworks
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and risk management
  • Familiarity with cloud computing technologies and infrastructure management
  • Ability to make quick, informed decisions in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in IT-specific software and systems
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA, CISSP) would be advantageous
  • Fluency in English required; Vietnamese language skills highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including occasional weekends and holidays, to support critical IT operations
