Job Description

Purchasing Supervisor

This position is responsible for assisting the Purchasing Manager in running the day-to-day operation of the procurement department.

• Assists purchasing manager in purchasing needs meeting orders and ensuring that purchases are made on time by placing orders with vendors
• Performing all procurement activities including pre-qualification, preparation of contracts, and tender management
• Drafts and/or reviews supply and service specifications
• Prepare bids documents, ensuring compliance with departmental, and company policies and procedures
• Distributes purchasing information to involved parties including vendors, sales representatives, and business associates

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a procurement, business, finance, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of previous experience in purchasing
• Good reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• Experienced in using ERP Systems and other vendor management software
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel & Word
