Job Description

What you will be doing:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the pastry kitchen, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and excellence in every product.
  • Manage inventory and control costs without compromising quality, ensuring that the pastry division operates efficiently and profitably.
  • Ensure the highest standards of hygiene and safety are maintained in the pastry kitchen, adhering to local and international regulations.
  • Foster a high-performance culture within the pastry team, providing training, mentorship, and motivation to inspire excellence and creativity.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to integrate pastry offerings into the overall dining experience, creating unique and memorable guest moments.
  • Monitor guest feedback and incorporate it into the continuous improvement of the pastry offerings.
  • Ensure the timely preparation and delivery of all pastry items for resort outlets, events, and special functions.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar position in an international luxury brand. Maldives’ work experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in English. Other language skills such as Russian would be a plus. 
  • Excellent communications & leadership skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressured environment.
  • Great attention to detail and creativity.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP and safety standards.
  • Strong multicultural awareness and ability to work with people from diverse cultures.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
