Job Description

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career. It provides you with the chance to build upon your current skillset.  This is a dual role, you will be engaged as a Night Auditor, and required to step into the Assistant Night Manager when the Night Manager is not on site (approximately 2 days per week). 

The Role 

  • This role is required to work overnight from 11pm to 7.30am the next day.
  • Assisting late guest arrivals and early departures ensuring that room allocations and check in/check out processes follow set procedures and are customer focused
  • Knowledge in Opera Cloud PMS and balancing procedures. Run reports and draw up statistical information as required by finance policies and procedures
  • Compile Night Audit day pack reports and documents in accordance with PCI Compliance, distributing to specific departments in a timely manner as required
  • Complete computer system backups and save in accordance with finance policies and procedures
  • Assist in the management of the hotel Front Office operation to achieve a reputation as a market leader in individualized customer focused service in the hotel locality
  • Assist night services including room service, OTS, car parking and porter services, ensuring guest arrivals and departures are as efficient as possible

Qualifications

About You

  • Previous experience in the hospitality industry, preferably in a night shift capacity.
  • Prior reservations experience is advantageous, as hospitality operates 24 hours a day.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage emergency situations effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and front office systems.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Valid LCQ certificate and a willingness to obtain a Manager’s Certificate through the local council.
  • Full driver’s licence is essential, as you will be responsible for receiving and parking guest vehicles between the hours of 11:00pm and 7:00am.
