Job Description

A Group Sales Manager drives revenue by leading sales efforts for group clients, such as corporate groups or event organizers. They develop strategies, build relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure client satisfaction, ultimately achieving sales targets. Key responsibilities include attracting new clients, managing existing accounts, and collaborating with other departments.

  • Develops client base through outside sales calls, sales blitzes, cold calling, prospecting, direct mail, networking and referrals.
  • Creates and maintain customer relationships to achieve optimum market share. Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their group requirement.
  • Conducts site tours, represent the hotel at trade shows and business events.
  • Prepares compelling proposals and presentations to showcase hotel’s facilities, services, and offerings to prospective clients. Always maintains product knowledge including all relevant rate structures and promotional offers.
  • Generates maximum revenue in the rooms and banquets departments through achievement of specific revenue booking goals in support of the hotel’s established strategies.
  • Analyzes the hotel's demand segments and sources of business for each to maximize revenues and profit.
  • Knows the principal competition for each segment and leverages hotel's relative strengths against each.
  • Manages the group sales budget effectively, optimizing resource allocation to maximize ROI.
  • Personally, demonstrates a commitment to customer service by soliciting and responding promptly to guest needs.
  • Maintains effective involvement with key community organizations.
  • Prepares and finalizes contracts for group bookings.
  • Maximizes profit and optimize space in accordance with established pricing models, exercising good judgment.
  • Prepares monthly reports as requested by management, such as monthly pace reports, sales action plan, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.

Salary Rage: $70,000 to $75,000 per year

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Most work tasks are performed independently.  There is minimal direct supervision.
  • Extensive knowledge of selling strategies and the ability to meet goals.
  • Complete knowledge of hotel, catering, and event space.
  • Analytically approaches problem solving.
  • Able to analyze financial statements and market data.
  • Desires to participate as part of a team.
  • Demonstrates self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm.

Additional Information

Assimilate into Ennismore’s culture through understanding, supporting, and participating in all Ennismore elements. Demonstrate working knowledge of the service standards. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Ennismore from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
