WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:
- Handles all tasks assigned by the Country Senior Sales Manager or Country Director of Sales.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business leads.
- Develop customer accounts and travel within the local area to drive business in Rixos properties and to increase market share in all revenue streams.
- Negotiate room rates according to company standards and selling strategy, taking all necessary actions to secure the business.
- Attend Sales Events, as required.
- Maintains generating accounts through various sales activities (face-to-face sales calls, telephone calls, site inspections, entertainment) jointly with Accounts Manager.
- Ensures all business requests are handled within 24 working hours. Accurate follow-up and communication both internally to reservations and accounting departments and confirmation to client.
- Arrange or conduct site inspections as required in Rixos UAE hotels.
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of company products and rates and involvement in cross-selling to our sister hotels when required.
- Performs all duties & responsibilities in a timely & efficient manner in accordance with established hotel policies to achieve position objectives.
- Prospecting new potential accounts for Rixos Hotels and following the sales process through to convert them into ‘producing’ accounts.
- Ensure that revenues are maximized through proactive actions rather than reactive management.
- Templates and tracking files must always be accurate and up to date. Recording the outcome of sales activities on a daily basis.
- Ensures that Rixos Hotels Sales & Marketing Policies and Standard Operational Procedures are adhered to at all times.
- To promote efficiency, confidence, courtesy, and an extremely high standard of social skills.
- To display a pleasant manner and positive attitude at all times and to promote a good company image to guests and colleagues.
- To demonstrate pride in the workplace and personal appearance at all times when representing the Rixos hotels thus identifying a high level of commitment.
- To adhere to Company and Hotel rules and regulations at all times.
- Maintains professional business confidentiality.
- Good knowledge of S&C, Microsoft Office & Microsoft outlook. Uses technology available for reports, communication, and client correspondence.
- Flexible to adapt to sudden increases in working hours as per business needs.
- To participate in any Training/Development schemes as recommended by senior management
- To comply with any reasonable request made by management to the best of your ability.
- To ensure that the standards required by Law and by Management are maintained at all times in the areas specified above.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years experience with the same position in a 5-star hotel and high school degree. Preferably with Sales experience in the Asian market.
