Job Description

PURPOSE


Under the general supervision of the Restaurant Manager and Director of Operations, or any other person authorized by management, assist in ensuring friendly, efficient, and effective food and beverage service to all guests in a timely manner, in accordance with established standards and individual guest requirements, while always upholding the vision of Mondrian Mexico City Condesa.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times.

  • Ensure clear and effective communication with management.

  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all menu items.

  • Prepare and inspect tables prior to service.

  • Clear and reset tables.

  • Ensure all company practices and procedures are followed when delivering food from the kitchen to the guest.

  • Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of restaurant tables, chairs, floors, and service stations at all times.

  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed within assigned timeframes according to company standards.

  • Complete all opening and closing procedures.

  • Remain assertive and attentive at ALL times.

  • Possess thorough knowledge of all products and service procedures.

  • Understand and enforce federal, state, and local food sanitation regulations.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and attention to detail throughout the entire shift.

  • As an important part of the team, offer assistance to colleagues in need, both within the department and across other departments.

  • Remain calm during busy periods to perform duties efficiently and request assistance when necessary.

  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Conversational English

  • High school diploma completed.

  • Previous experience in the same position within hotels (preferably luxury hotels).

  • Availability to work rotating shifts and to commute to La Condesa.
