We are looking for a Painter to join the pre-opening of SLS The Red Sea.

Ennismore, with its luxury brand SLS Hotels, is currently opening a magnificent project in the oasis that is The Red Sea. SLS The Red Sea is planned to open in 2025.

Job Description

At SLS Red Sea, every surface tells a story of style, precision, and attention to detail. We’re searching for a talented Painter to join our Engineering team and help keep our vibrant spaces looking flawless, fresh, and full of life.

In this role, you’ll bring your eye for color, skill in finishing, and passion for craftsmanship to every corner of the hotel—from guest rooms and suites to public areas and back-of-house spaces. Your work will ensure our guests always step into surroundings that feel brand-new, perfectly aligned with the bold design DNA of SLS.

Main Responsibilities

  • Carrying out painting, polishing, and finishing across walls, ceilings, trims, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Preparing surfaces with care—sanding, patching, priming, and repairing—to guarantee perfect results.
  • Applying a variety of finishes including water-based, oil-based, epoxy, lacquers, and stains with precision.
  • Restoring and touching up high-traffic areas to maintain a flawless guest experience.
  • Matching colors and finishes to brand and interior design standards.
  • Supporting wider Engineering projects and collaborating across departments to keep operations running smoothly.
  • Maintaining safety and sustainability standards in every task, from material use to workspace care.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ professional experience in painting, surface finishing, or general maintenance, ideally within a hospitality or premium residential environment. 
  • Vocational qualification or formal training in painting and decorating (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) preferred. 
  • Strong knowledge of painting techniques, surface preparation, and finishing materials. 
  • Ability to work with various substrates including gypsum, cement, wood, metal, and stone. 
  • Experience using spray equipment, brushes, rollers, and sanding tools safely and efficiently. 
  • Basic understanding of safety protocols, hazardous materials handling, and fire safety procedures. 
  • Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach. 
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a diverse team.
