We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of “Director of Information Systems” to be considered at Rixos Tersane İstanbul.

 

 

Job Description

  • Responsible for the strategic and operational management of the organization’s information and technology requirements, including the implementation and integration of system and technology initiatives necessary to achieve organizational goals.
  • Oversees IS operations.
  • Leads team of IS staff.
  • Designs and implements IS strategies and infrastructure.
  • Identifies and eliminates security risks.
  • Analyzes business requirements for IS needs and systems.
  • Evaluates IS operations with regard to established goals.
  • Communicates within IS team and across departments as needed.
  • Assesses need for new equipment and software.
  • Prepares progress and budget reports for upper management.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with outside vendors.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Research and develop computer software systems.
  • Plans, coordinates and implements preventive maintenance programs for all hardware and software.
  • Interacts with user departments to establish needs and operating systems.
  • Attend the staff orientation for the new staff and give an overview of the IT infrastructure. Underline the importance of “Software and Electronic Mail Agreement”.
  • Ensure Software Licenses, Server Room Layout, TCP-IP roaster, Patching Schedule, Server Configuration Details, Interface PC details and location, Standard Client Image Specification, Installation procedure for every software installed on client, Standard Operating Procedures, Vendor and Support Contacts, Contingency Plan, Annual Maintenance Contracts, P&L and Capex budget.
  • Conduct ongoing training with existing staff and ensure that new staff is certified as required.
  • Assists other departments with computer related problems.
  • Makes pilot project installations
  • Upgrades system and software
  • Supervises and monitors computer hardware installations.
  • Prevent possible negative causes such as viruses, hack, Trojan.
  • Maintain all system in the concept of Rixos Hotels and Tersane İstanbul standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years previous experience in hospitality technology & Shopping Mall sector.
  • Knowledge of networking, hardware, software, security and Business Applications.
  • Knowledge of hotel & Mall operation
  • Posses a good command of the English language and the ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate with guests, both in person and by telephone.
  • A college education in Computer or Business Administration.
  • Ability to focus attention on details and be able to organize,
  • Prioritize, and follow up.
  • Must be able to take initiative and work productively within any given period of time, unsupervised.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of all guests and general hotel information.
  • Ability to coherently present information in front of groups.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, if necessary.
  • Should be creative, innovative and strive for continuous improvement.
  • Should display leadership qualities in regards to thinking clearly, quickly, and making decisions.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate work.
  • Ability to ascertain departmental training needs and provide such training.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment.
  • Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding /difficult guests and /or situations.
  • Maintains a thorough working knowledge of and adheres to organization/project policies, regulations and procedures.
