Job Description

We are seeking a professional and decisive Lifeguard Supervisor to join our team at a premier beach resort in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the safety and well-being of guests and staff in our aquatic facilities, whilst leading a team of lifeguards.

  • Supervise and manage a team of lifeguards, ensuring optimal coverage and performance
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency response procedures
  • Conduct regular training sessions and drills to maintain team readiness
  • Monitor water conditions and weather patterns to assess potential risks
  • Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of pool areas and beach facilities
  • Respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies and provide first aid when necessary
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, rescues, and daily operations
  • Liaise with resort management to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Educate guests on water safety and enforce rules in a courteous manner
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of new lifeguards

Qualifications

  • Advanced lifeguard certification and water safety instructor certification
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of lifeguarding experience, with previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Exceptional swimming abilities and physical fitness
  • Current first aid and CPR certification
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a diverse team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and capacity to remain calm under pressure
  • Thorough knowledge of water safety regulations and procedures
  • Understanding of beach and pool management practices
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous
