Job Description
We are seeking an organised and efficient Receiving Officer to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming goods.
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying quantities and condition of items against purchase orders and shipping documents
- Inspect received goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Enter accurate data into the inventory management system and maintain detailed records of all received items
- Organise and store received goods in designated areas of the warehouse
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciliations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth warehouse operations
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, when necessary
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
- Participate in maintaining a clean and organised warehouse environment
Qualifications
- Secondary school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role within receiving, warehouse, or logistics
- Proficiency in using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
- Strong attention to detail and excellent record-keeping skills
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving skills and capacity to work independently
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Forklift certification (desirable)
- Physical ability to lift and move items weighing up to 25 kg
- Ability to work comfortably in a tropical climate
