Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Door Attendant to join our team at our prestigious hotel in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Door Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their stay.

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, offering a friendly and professional first impression of our hotel
  • Assist guests with luggage handling, ensuring prompt and efficient service during arrival, stay, and departure
  • Manage the hotel's main entrance, including opening doors and directing guests to appropriate areas
  • Operate the valet parking service, safely parking and retrieving guests' vehicles
  • Issue and control guest room key cards, maintaining strict security protocols
  • Respond promptly to guest enquiries, complaints, and requests, liaising with other departments as necessary
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised lobby and entrance area
  • Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation options
  • Update and review the daily logbook, ensuring smooth communication between shifts
  • Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures, including fire safety and first aid protocols
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Maintain a smart and well-groomed appearance at all times

Qualifications

  • University degree in any field
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar hospitality role, preferably a high volume luxury hotel or resort environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical fitness to handle luggage and assist guests with mobility needs
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Basic computer skills for handling guest information systems and key card management
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Willingness to work in a tropical island environment
