Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Door Attendant to join our team at our prestigious hotel in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Door Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their stay.
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, offering a friendly and professional first impression of our hotel
- Assist guests with luggage handling, ensuring prompt and efficient service during arrival, stay, and departure
- Manage the hotel's main entrance, including opening doors and directing guests to appropriate areas
- Operate the valet parking service, safely parking and retrieving guests' vehicles
- Issue and control guest room key cards, maintaining strict security protocols
- Respond promptly to guest enquiries, complaints, and requests, liaising with other departments as necessary
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised lobby and entrance area
- Provide information about hotel facilities, local attractions, and transportation options
- Update and review the daily logbook, ensuring smooth communication between shifts
- Adhere to all hotel safety and security procedures, including fire safety and first aid protocols
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Maintain a smart and well-groomed appearance at all times
Qualifications
- University degree in any field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar hospitality role, preferably a high volume luxury hotel or resort environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Physical fitness to handle luggage and assist guests with mobility needs
- Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Basic computer skills for handling guest information systems and key card management
- Knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Willingness to work in a tropical island environment
