Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and professional Speciality Waiter/ess to join our esteemed restaurant team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a Speciality Waiter/ess, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests whilst leading and mentoring our service team.
- Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the restaurant's dining area
- Lead, train, and motivate the waiting staff to maintain high service standards
- Greet and seat guests, ensuring a warm and professional welcome
- Manage reservations and handle special requests or dietary requirements
- Provide detailed menu information, including daily specials and wine recommendations
- Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Assist in inventory management and stock control
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service flow
- Maintain a clean and organised dining area at all times
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality
- Previous experience in a supervisory role within food service
- Excellent customer service skills with a strong focus on guest satisfaction
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and team management skills
- Proficiency in restaurant management software
- Fluent in English; additional languages are advantageous
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Hospitality management degree or relevant certification (preferred)
- Valid food safety certification
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage pairing
- Thorough understanding of fine dining etiquette and service standards
- Familiarity with Vietnamese cuisine and culture (preferred)
- Willingness to work in Phu Quoc, Vietnam
