Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our team in the beautiful island of Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As the Engineering Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facility's systems and infrastructure.
- Oversee and manage daily maintenance operations across the property, including both exterior and interior facility systems
- Supervise and coordinate the engineering team to ensure efficient completion of tasks and projects
- Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems, refrigeration units, plumbing systems, heating and cooling systems (HVAC), and structural elements
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and optimise system performance
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards
- Manage inventory of spare parts and equipment, and coordinate with suppliers as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance requests and improve overall guest experience
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation of all maintenance activities
- Contribute to the development and execution of long-term maintenance strategies and capital improvement projects
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Engineering Supervisor, with a minimum of 2 years in the hospitality industry
- Demonstrated expertise in electrical work and strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Customer service-oriented approach with a focus on delivering high-quality results
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office suite
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in facilities management or related fields (desirable)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other Asian languages is advantageous
- Eligibility to work in Vietnam
