Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring fiscal stability, and driving strategic financial planning for our organisation.

  • Lead and manage the overall financial strategy and operations of the organisation
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Analyse financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and standards
  • Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies
  • Oversee tax planning and compliance
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align financial objectives with overall business goals
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to the executive team and board of directors
  • Implement cost-saving measures and optimise financial performance across the organisation
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior finance or accounting position, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, and local accounting standards
  • Strong proficiency in financial modelling, analysis, and forecasting
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial reporting systems
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on driving business growth
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
  • Experience in implementing and managing financial controls and risk management processes
  • Proven track record of improving financial performance and implementing cost-saving initiatives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other Asian languages is advantageous
