Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to join our team at our prestigious hotel in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As the Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during night-time hours, providing exceptional service to our guests and leading the night shift team.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of hotel operations during the night shift
- Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property
- Supervise and support the Front Office team and other departments as required
- Manage guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
- Implement and maintain strict procedures for cash handling, accounting, and banking
- Monitor room availability and manage overbooking situations sensitively
- Conduct night audit procedures and prepare daily reports
- Supervise night lobby services, including car parking, portering, room service, and public area cleaning
- Resolve disputes and ensure total guest satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to maintain high standards of service and cleanliness
- Train and mentor night shift staff to uphold the hotel's standards and procedures
- Respond to emergencies and make critical decisions when necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Night Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in hotel management software, particularly Opera Cloud
- Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Valid and current First Aid and CPR certification
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Professional appearance and demeanour, representing our premium brand
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
- Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous
