Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Night Manager to join our team at our prestigious hotel in Phu Quoc, Vietnam. As the Night Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during night-time hours, providing exceptional service to our guests and leading the night shift team.

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of hotel operations during the night shift
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property
  • Supervise and support the Front Office team and other departments as required
  • Manage guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally
  • Implement and maintain strict procedures for cash handling, accounting, and banking
  • Monitor room availability and manage overbooking situations sensitively
  • Conduct night audit procedures and prepare daily reports
  • Supervise night lobby services, including car parking, portering, room service, and public area cleaning
  • Resolve disputes and ensure total guest satisfaction
  • Collaborate with other departments to maintain high standards of service and cleanliness
  • Train and mentor night shift staff to uphold the hotel's standards and procedures
  • Respond to emergencies and make critical decisions when necessary

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Night Manager or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in hotel management software, particularly Opera Cloud
  • Advanced computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Valid and current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
  • Flexibility to work night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
  • Professional appearance and demeanour, representing our premium brand
  • Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
  • Comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations and procedures
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Vietnamese or other languages is advantageous
