Job Description

The Hotel Finance & Performance Intern will focus on maximizing hotel operations and performance across Ennismore.  The role will report directly to the Hotel Performance & Treasury Manager and work closely with the Hotel Finance & Performance teams globally to implement company-wide financial tools and processes to achieve maximize financial performance and optimize returns.

The internship will begin in February 2025 and is expected to work 40 hours a week in our Brooklyn office. We are seeking 1 intern for this role. 

 

What you'll do...

  • Support the Treasury Manager and Global Head of Hotel Finance and Performance to maximize hotel operations and performance, specifically top line and costs.
  • Prepare and conduct regular hotel performance reviews at the Ennismore group level.
  • Develop reporting tools, systems, and dashboards to provide relevant insights to stakeholders at all levels within the organization including property, region and leadership.  Roll out of tools to the business.  Maintain and update these tools as the business evolves.
  • Ensure property and corporate departmental adherence to above and respect of deadlines.
  • Provide specific ad hoc analysis and lead action plan to correct problem areas, new openings, hotels with guarantees or specific performance issues.
  • Support hotel budgeting and reporting process throughout the organization ensuring the appropriate maintenance of all relevant systems and databases.
  • Drive and assist on ad hoc projects covering at least 20% of the time including integration, strategy, M&A.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What were are looking for... 

  • Bachelor's Degree or working towards one in Finance or Hospitality
  • Hospitality expereince needed
  • Must have strong verbal and written skills – strong in Microsoft PowerPoint & Excel
  • You are a self-starter.
  • You have a can-do attitude. No task is too little or too big.
  • You’re a great communicator with stakeholders across a business at any level.
  • You’re proactive and able to work independently but likes being sociable and collaborative too.
  • You can develop and roll out tools for the team to ensure consistency and achievement of deliverables to all stakeholders.
  • You are humble.  There are no egos, and no drama.
  • You get us. You know of our hotels and want to hang out in our lobbies.

The hourly rate for this internship is $20/hour
