Job Description
Rixos Hotels, with 24 years of experience in the tourism sector, continues to grow worldwide as a Turkish brand with new investments, driven by a management model based on dynamic, flexible, and proactive strategies. Currently, we operate 43 different hotels, theme parks, and special projects across 3 continents and 8 countries.
In Turkey, we provide services to our guests in various concepts with a talented workforce of approximately 8,000 people in the Antalya, Muğla, and Istanbul regions.
We are seeking a valuable team member for the position of “Director of Revenue Management” to be considered at RIXOS TERSANE İSTANBUL
What you will be doing
- Ensure that a defined rate quoting strategy is in place for the negotiated RFP season and potentially overlooking the reservations section.
- Maximizes hotel revenue contribution through all distribution channels.
- Continuous analysis of changing channel distribution models and the impact on consumer booking trends.
- Works with the top-line team to determine effective and engaging rate offers (packages) which are then offered to the right customer through the right channel.
- Sets up the standards of operations in both Revenue and Reservations departments.
- Actively monitors the competitive environment and elaborates revenue-optimizing tactics and strategies in order to maximize the Revenue Generation Index(RGI).
- To drive the forecasting process for all operating departments, identify revenue potentials, and supply and demand variables for the property.
- To assist the Director of Sales with pricing and demand projects based on the clear brief.
- Review market trends and benchmark against competition.
- Closely monitors competitors for shifts in demand, rate, and strategy.
- Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments, and reporting.
- Drive revenue-generating initiatives to optimize top-line revenues.
- Provide a weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
- Configure and manage key systems including revenue management system, central reservation system, property management system and the respective distribution platforms.
- Maintains pricing integrity, and checks distribution channels regularly for hotel positioning, information accuracy, and competitor positioning.
- Identify areas needing improvement, and competitors' set strengths, and develop strategies to best capture available Market Share.
- Communicates Revenue management strategies to Room Reservations team and other teams as required.
- Analyse overall monthly hotel performance and provide summary reports with recommendations to improve long-term strategies.
- Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated, and working to full capacity.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
- Previous experience as a Revenue Director at a 5-star luxury hotel is a must.
- Very strong knowledge of winning revenue management strategies.
- Plays an active role in the Strategic Planning, Marketing Plan and budgeting processes.
- Strong presentation and analytical skills with PowerPoint, Excel, Power Point.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under time constraints is key to the success of this individual.
- Proven record of accurately budgeting and forecasting market demand.
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Revenue management skills with an analytical mindset, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English and Turkish (written and spoken) is a necessity
